1. Seattle - Seattle is beautiful, especially with the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier in the background.
2. San Francisco - San Francisco looks very nice with the Transamerica Pyramid, Bay Bridge, and Embarcadero. I can't wait for the new Transbay Towers.
3. Los Angeles - Though not as dense as I would want it to be, the height of the buildings are very centralized, with the U.S. Bank Tower being in the middle of Downtown.
4. Dallas - Very diverse buildings, and I like the lighting of the Reunion Tower and other buildings at night.
5. Pittsburgh - The skyline looks well with its location in between two rivers, and the Fort Pitt bridge definitely adds to its beauty.

Don't forget the snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop on a clear day after a winter storm.

I don't think this should be North American skylines but just US skylines, this is the US Urban Issues section after all.

Toronto is like the Hong Kong of America with all the high rises.

Nice, but no skyline shot of Denver is complete w/o the Rockies in the background.

I might as well also add NYC to my list. I love the modern buildings mixed with the older Art Deco buildings, I think that they complement each other well. I personally prefer Midtown's skyline, because it has the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building, which are two very fine architectural masterpieces.

Part of what makes the Miami skyline impressive at night is how it reflects in Biscayne Bay on a calm night.

You know, I hadn't thought about it, but you're right!

Toronto should not be here!

That picture is a great illustration of "good skyline, good density, terrible at ground level."
