Paved squares of the USA

I saw the thread on huge paved squares in Europe and realized how few there are over here.
Here are some that I know of if they even qualify. There are a lot of half paved, half landscaped squares here.

Rittenhouse Square (from swong)

The Piazza in Northern Liberties Philadelphia (from the streettalkin blog)

Market Square, Pittsburgh

Union Square in Manhattan (google)

Union Square San Francisco (google)

Public Square, Cleveland (google)

Not only that: the fact is there is nothing 'interesting' around (shops and so on)
Squares 'work well' with activities which keep 'em alive: infact in nearby Boston Market Place public spaces are crowded
