HI! Nice thread, but you have made mistakes: What you call SZR in the 80`s is SZR in 1991!!! and the last SZR shot is definitely in 2006! cheerz

nice shots, and the first SZR is NOT from 1991 but from the mid 80s indeed, we discussed that.
anyway, this should be moved to the photo section, and while we are at it, shouldn't we consider to reorganize this part of the forum.. ? |

Ah, look at the lack of cars and chaos on the roads. Man, I miss those days...

It surprises me that No1 Tower Suites was already build in 1997, since I remember when they were opened, somewhere in 2001.
http://i10.************/40dxffc.jpg Maybe it was a residential building first and later on it was converted to Serviced Apartments. I agree with dubaiflo (and really surprised also) on this other picture: http://i10.************/48vtssn.jpg These guys are as slow as their Internet connection "speed".

these are very nice family pictures
I believe that some of these people are your relatives- emirati girl - Our ancestors are something that our grandsons and granddaughters will speak with pride hopefully... Very emotive images if you consider that uae is not just an skyscraper empire There is something in the soul of the bedouin that tries to make from nothing(sand) spiritus totalis |

Great pics.
I have an hour or so long documentary on Sheikh Zayed and the UAE from the 60s. Quite funny seeing him coming over the dunes in his limo! I've uploaded a minute or so footage of it to YouTube. Apologies for the writing in the middle of the screen, the screen capture software I used is just a demo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59X7y5QpENU |

Emarati girl .. thank you very much for the pictures. The last one is so artistic. I liked Hamdan Bin Rashid's picture. He appeared very tough. I also thank Vimto for sharing his own pictures with us.

Sheikh Saeed ordered five people who supported the sharjah maktoums to have their eyes cut out, aparently he kept one of them on a shelf to warn people for a while...
![]() Nice photos though, i really like the picture of ronaldhinio's cousin, Motar Bin Mohammed ( a Bedouin guy)
