I give the games an 80% chance of going somewhere in the America's. I think it will either be Buenos Aires, Chicago, or San Fran (maybe with the slightest edge to BA).

Most I think would love to see a Rio Olympics but it is likely in back of those three due to some gang and infrastructure challenges.

Monterrey can, they are very progressist people and industrious...

There is the money, the will and the quality.

Is necessary to have a plan to develope an olympic village, an olympic stadium, olympic pool, etc etc... domes, etc etc....

Go ahead!

the question whether this city should host the olympic games is purely a matter of opinion...everyone will think differently and some might agree its a good olympic host while some might not give two hoots about this city..the fact remains nothing is stopping any city from bidding for the games..go ahead and bid and see what the IOC says..however that said..the IOC is looking for special cities..dare i say that...barcelona athens sydney beijing london...u get the drift? new frontiers like rio, buenos aires and cape town fit the sequence well...however..that said monterrey is free to bid.good luck

You don't know what you are talking about.

Munich fell victim to a terrorist attack nobody expected. And so did Atlanta. It was so unfortunet for both cities. It does not reflect on the organisation of the cities themselves. It could have been LA, or Sydney, or Helsinki.. Whatever it happend.

Nobody judges Atlanta on its ceremonies, they were fantastic. But if you must be pedantic about it (i think it was you or someone else) mentioned the flame lighting.... big woop it travelled along a cable to a bucket of fries atop scaffold. It held nothing on the Burning rings of Los Angeles,
the Burning arrow of Barcelona or the clash of fire and water in Sydney.

I believe Munich for its time put in far more effect than Atlanta. Just look at the difference between the stadiums.

rant over.

Suprised I didn't see this thread earlier. The main problem with having the Olympics here in Miami is no stadium and no place to put it if we wanted to (we are trying to build a baseball stadium now but can't). The only places with enough land would be out in the suburbs far from the transit lines which a large onslaught that the Olympics bring would require. Also the summer in Miami is not a very pleasant time to be there (then again its not much worse than summer in Atlanta). You could hold them a little early like in June for example to avoid height of Hurricane season.

I strongly believe that the 2016 games are likely to go to a Latin American city or a Canadian city, beause last time the games were in the American continent took place in Atlanta, and peronaly to me the IOC wants to hear from somewhere else other than the US, however they can be good hosts..
Like Mo Rush said.. every one has different thoughts and their hopes on their favorite host are high...

Olympics

Guadalajara, or Monterrey, because Tijuana is too small. In case of being in Mexico.
If not, Dubai would be the best city.
