I actually kind of like it. If Mo is right in that it doesn't say Doha clearly in Arabic though then it seems kinda pointless and seems like they were trying to hard to make something work that just isn't.

acctully doha wont need a few more years because its currently 90% ready for the olympics with only alittle bit more infrustructure and accomodation it would host it easily

yes dubai is not in the bid and it wont bid nither will monterry.
And do you actually think that Doha will be allowed to change the date to december?? I don't think so, considering the olympics would then be in the off-season of most summer olympic sports! Summer olympics in december would mean summer olympics in the middle of the winter sport season! I bet Sydney would've liked to change the date to december as well, but the olympics there were in september.

And whats your source that Monterrey definatly won't bid?

My guess is that it'll be between Rio and Chicago. Rio will only get it if they come up with a great bid though that tackles the crime problem as well.

IOC limits are last week in september for the olympic games to start

Well, the deadline was September 13th of this year.
And they certainly are not on the list of cities that applied.

These are the cities, and NONE others:
Baku, Azerbaijan
Chicago, USA
Doha, QAT
Madrid, Spain
Prague, Czech Republic
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Tokyo, Japan

It'll come down to Chicago and Rio.
With Chicago winning, hopefully!

Being from Chicago i am obviously rooting for Chicago but Rio would be my 2nd choice of any place on earth to host as I really love the city and would be a picturesque place for the games. Hopefully if it will get it sometime in the very near future if not in 2016 and vice versa (though I think it is more make or break for Chicago then Rio as I think Rio is only of only two SA cities that are likely to get the games that are sure to come to SA).

How can any European city win this bid? Don't they alternate between continents?

There's no steadfast rule that says they have to. But yes, European bids are outsiders in this contest and even the best of the European bids (likely to be Madrid) will be a long shot.

Well since Rio is now officially the 2014 World Cup host.....it's chances of getting the 2016 olympics are going down. You can't be too greedy....lol

As for my pick....Chicago!
