No no and no !! there are 2 RER going from saint-denis to paris-nord station :

-RER B saint-denis station :the closest station from the stadium (5 minutes by walk)------>from this station, count 7 minutes to reach Paris Nord station and 10 minutes to reach the very heart of paris !

-RER D saint-denis station :station located 10-15 minutes by walk from the stadium------>from this station, count just 5 minutes to reach Paris Nord station and 8 minutes to reach the very heart of paris !

Umm, now if were honest Africa as a continent hasnt hosted the Olympics twice in 15 years so you think the IOC will allow Spain to get it again.

Now be serious, use your common sense. Its not hard to work out.
Spain is in Africa? That's new.

Where do you see that this thread was highlighted in the Spanish forums? What about in your British forums? No one has ever mentioned or highlighted this thread? Something you seem to forgotten is the fact that most of the Spanish probably don't speak English good enough to participate in international forums. I am almost sure that if they could understand and express themselves better in your language, they would probably even vote more than what you think.

1. Madrid
2. Paris
3. Moscow
4. London
5. New York

Don't get him wrong! He is not saying that Spain is in Africa. He is just comparing the fact that Africa as a continent did not host the OG in that time being whereas Spain would have hosted it twice in case Madrid "wins" the bid.
However and as I already said several times, only the city has to be judged not the country of location as in that case New York would not have any chance either... Only the best bid should win! Will it be Madrid? Maybe not although I hope so! Paris and London have excellent arguments tough.

For New York its not such a big issue as it is for Madrid when it held its last olympics, as the US always seems to get more olympics than anyone else due to its population(for a western country) and influence.

15 years? 20, I think (1992-2012)

What about Los Angeles'84 and Atlanta'96? Only 12 years. I really think that time distance is not an important fact. Madrid is the best candidature, and you know it.

I mean since hosting it and then winning it again. just rounding it off.

Yeh but to be fair, USA is a much larger nation and is almost the size of Europe. Europe has hosted it numerous times in the last 30 years aswell.

Think about it ...

UK 1908-1948
Spain 1992
USA 1904-1932-1984-1996
France 1900-1924
Russia 1980

I think countries like the UK & France are bound to get it because of the time difference since they last hosted them. It will be 64 years for the UK and 88 years for France

Moscow 32 Years
Spain 20 Years
USA 16 Years

My honest oppinion believes Paris will get it, as its waited the longest and has lost its last 2 bids. although if rumours are correct London could pip them if they make it to the final 2.

Nothing like sterio typing based on one or a few people. I hope you know you are coming accross as offensive (yes I know BirmingCulture does too quite often) but don't go dow n the route of insulting a whole country.

I agree with Englishman. We should avoid stereotyping a whole country.

Personnaly I also think that Paris will get them after their third attempt!

I wish good luck to all the candidates cities and I am sure that whoever will organise these OG will do at least as good as Athens did in 2004!

This lovely child is from Holland, sometimes he seems to be a littel bit rude, but deep down he´s very gentle.
