Hopefully chicago will re-bid for 2020, they should win if none of this sentimental crap comes back up.

I think that Madrid it's not gonna have a majority of european delegates, becouse countries like Italy, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Poland are the possible european candidates for 2020 and Oresund Region, Denmark/Sweden and Paris are possible candidates for 2024, so if Madrit gets the 2016 olympics after London 2012, i think that there's not posibility for Europe bids on 2020 and 2024 olympics, according to the rotation, Africa and the Arab world, are pendant to host olympics.

Let's call it a draw.

It will be interesting if Rio gets it. We have the World Cup (the 2nd biggest event after the Olympics) in South Africa next. The world is getting bigger.

I do, however know that from your posts you don't deserve an Olympics in your city. Your posts lack Olympic spirit and have done throughout this thread. I'll be happy if Rio wins, but not for you, as you've consistently been a **** in this thread.
yeahhhh be happy for me!!!

If Samaranch has that much influnce, the IOC needs reform!
Good try Chicago, maybe 2020.

Go Rio!! cuz they are cool peoples.
Not Madrid, not Europe, again.

I dont think world hates US. They just decided for a New place for the games (South America) or for the best technical bid (which is Madrid).

I don't know many people who questioned whether Chicago was financially feasible. Many people agreed that it was a sound plan very feasible because they could count on more sponsorship money than any other bid.

Chicago was a favorite, but a first vote elimination isn't amazingly surprising. It was speculated that the first vote could go regional and if that happened, Chicago would be eliminated. There's a history of regional voting in the first round and it wasn't a surprise that it happened again.

It's a shame for Chicago because it's a wonderful, world class city.

But I don't really think that the US can complain about IOC votes. After all, the US has staged more than its fair share of modern Olympic Games -including two of the last seven Games. Has any country hosted as many as the US?
