What do you want me or other English people to say Dr EKG? Becuase we share nationality doesn't mean we have to appologise for him - he's his own person - I allready said I don't like how mine and his screen names are so similar. I also think he goes way over the top especially regarding the comments about language - it's something English speaking people will forever be like to an extent as everyone else learns English and we don't have an obvious choice or media influence from non english places.

That said there have been a fair share of ignorant Spanish and other nationalities on this thread. If he says anything particularly bad then why don't you PM one of the admins or mods that moderate the forum. In the past I have mentioned people to staff though (anmd they were English) and it made no difference.

In general the best way to deal with views you dislike is highlight how rediculous they are. Or better yet ignore them and they go away.

Re your comment to Meditt, surely he's entitiled to his own oppinion.

[QUOTE=eddyk]The Transport in London is not the best as it could be....But it is one of our stongest hands...It will be so advanced by the time 2012 come around!

Paris on the other hand...Striking during the IOC visit leaving them stranded and causing city wide chaos![/QUOTE
===============

It's interesting to see how Barcelona conveniently becomes Catalonia and not Spain , unfortunately that's not the official truth . Barcelona is in Spain .

Anyway , as regards London transport , the tube is widely regarded as very convenient and extensive . My Dutch partner thinks it is fantastic . I've experienced Dutch trains and their metro and I was distinctly unimpressed . Massive amounts of investment are going into London's transport system . There are new tube stations and extensions underway , new railway stations ( Stratford International ) and extensions , new light railway extensions . People forget that the London underground is one of the oldest and largest in the world . It's been there for a long time .

London is being reborn . There are so many new projects underway or completed . As with most world cities , traffic and congestion is a problem but the congestion charge has improved that situation .

London's red double decker buses and black taxis are world famous icons .

I like the design of the Bilbao metro ......by British architect Norman Foster & Partners .

Yeah, but how long will Spain be Spain. soon, there will be no UK, spain or France, and we'll all be cheering each others combined EU bid for the olympics.

Yes that's why the independence of Catalonia, the Basque Country, Brittany, Corse, Scotland, etc is such a big nonsense, cuz we are tending to unite our countries in a federal EU, but this federal EU like the US is still distant...if France votes NO to the EU Constitution let's almost say goodbye to this...and UK is far more opposed than France to EU....

Hey Juanito! dont forget Barcelona is Spain! I think Barcelona hosted the Games bacause had influence of the President IOC Samaranch (he was born in Catalonia region, (Spain)).
The Transport is not crap. When did you live here? Its improved massively since Ken has had time to work his magic. I use it everyday and I rarely have problems. If the trains do packup, then I've always go the largest Bus Network in the world to fall back on.

Thats true. i think the EU could be a good way to come to an acceptable compromise at some point however.

I think Moscow is the big unknown bid. This photo show us the very good bid that they have.

NY after Atlanta 96 : it would be a shame (fed up with america)
Madrid after Barcelona 92 : impossible (too expensive for such a poor country)
Moscow : an other undevelopped country to host the games after Beijing, it's a joke !

Hahaha, Spain a poor country?? I didn't know that!! Spain is getting into the G-8 list, for your information!! Spain can hold two or more Olympic Games if we want, or more!!! Madrid is the only country that already has the 80% of the sport centres for the Olympic Games, it has ALL our support: everywhere you go you'll see Madrid 2012 advertisments... And just one more thing: London has held the Olympic Games twice!! Paris too!! But not Madrid!!

Go Madrid 2012, go!!!

Those are some pretty impressive pictures from Moscow. Their bid looks great, but against the likes of NYC, and London?
