Nope most of the North American VW's are built with terrible quality in Mexico, as for the rest I have no idea. Honestly the road quality isn't that bad that it would cause a large quality difference.

Many American brands are still on the bottom of the reliability list, whereas most Japanese brands (even the ones that have recently suffered from issues, like Toyota) are still at the top, so this argument is not valid.

I don't know where you get that from, American brands are no longer the bottom, both for and GM have significantly increased quality, Ford is ranked higher in quality than Toyota btw.

Most German cars are made in Germany from what I understand. Only VW models, BMW SUVs, Z4, and Mercedes SUV cars are made in North America. BTW, have you noticed that German cars don't have the same bad reputation in other parts of the world like in NA?

I've seen the VW Fox exported to Europe and did not like, only has two doors, finishing a little weird ..... VW Voyage is a Brazilian model, but I do not think that should be nothing to European models of the same class, on the contrary, what I see here is that there are many European cars seem funny in the eyes of the Brazilians!!!!!!

German cars are also known for their top-notch maintenance. Germans maintain their cars much better than in other countries. For example, if you want to buy a somewhat more high-end German car in the Netherlands, it could be interesting to import it from Germany.

Are you referring to the background building? That's The Atlantis Hotel
And I've seen a Slovenian hotty driving in Dubai once. She had a sticker at the back of the car. ![]() BTW, if I'd have to return back home soon, I'm thinking of ways to keep the original number plate. If I have to export the car, they will take it back and provide a very ugly square and blue in colour Export number plate.

This car is only for hippies!!!!! ![]() You can buy much more models of the VW made in Brazil like this: http://www.volkswagen.com/br/pt/carros/CrossFox.html or that: http://www.volkswagen.com/br/pt/carros/Saveiro.html But VW is only one of the 12 global manufacturers (like GM, Ford, VW, Fiat, Renault, Honda, Toyota, Citroen, etc) that have factory in Brazil, and this year will be made 3.6 millions units So there are plenty of models to buy here in Brazil, while my wife and I have these models in the VW, but next year, should I change car !!!!!!!

My car: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville
Wife's car: 1999 Nissan Maxima Not nearly always. We only get the higher-end BMWs, MBs, and Audis here in the US, with some exceptions. Ever seen one of the aforementioned brands with cloth seats and hubcaps Stateside? |

I'm really surprised to see that Germans cars are considered unreliable in NA but I guess this continent vs. continent thing is pretty universal. For example, nobody in Europe would dare to say that an American car has a better quality level than it's European counterpart.
