I don't like this "Arabian" style where buildings that have the same look are clustered on a same base or together.

Currently, high rise density is defined by Hong Kong
However, the Middle East do have great potential to challenge it

It will be a huge cluster, and denser than Dubai's tallest block.

It is extremely tacky but it is at least consistent with the recent developments.

So what's happening to this project now that Abraj Al Bait is almost finished?

Mecca is going to look like the Mecca of totalitarism if all this scary and plain ugly stuff gets built...

WILL THEY REALLY BUILD THIS PANTHEON-LIKE STRUCTURE IN MECCA???? PANTHEON WHICH MEANS "TO EVERY GOD" WAS A TEMPLE BUILT BY THE ANCIENT ROMANS AS A PLACE OF WORSHIP TO ALL THEIR PAGAN GODS!!!

WHO DESIGNED AND APPROVED THIS BUILDING IN THE FIRST PLACE?? MAN THAT PERSON IS DUMB!!!

LOOK AT THE SIMILARITIES OF THE BUILDING ABOVE AND THE PANTHEON BELOW

I WILL NEVER ALLOW THIS BUILDING TO BE BUILT IN HOLY MECCA!!!

Mecca was the center of Arabian Paganism until Muhammad decided he doesn't want anybody else's God worshiped with his. We're just reclaiming back our original culture.

I can't believe you said that.. better build a typical Arab-inspired building, why ancient roman's pantheon???.. maybe you wouldn't even mind if a Masjid is built exactly like a hindu temple or a church.. no other religion will allow their place of worship to look like a Masjid but a muslim don't mind that.. so your original culture is paganism and you don't mind returning to that.. unbelievable.. i'm so sad

LOL. I was just teasing you, I couldn't care less if a mosque looked like a church or a synagogue looked like a mosque. A good chunk of Abrahamic temples were one type or the other at one point anyways.

.. Although it's obviously not the case, I do wish there was some sort of a public inclination towards reconnecting with our "pagan" roots
