Thank you! Yes that's right, just off The Strand.

Thanks very much Christos! It has been lovely until Wednesday but now raining and quite windy. Wouldn't want all the nice sunny weather to be used up before summer...

Enjoyed pics of Temple and Aldwych area. My old stomping ground! I used to work nearby on Victoria Embankment back in The Swinging Sixties!

Love the BT Tower peaking above everything else, doesn't it have a restaurant at the top?

Looking at the first and second set of pictures at the top, I was struck at how clutter free and 'clean' the streetscape looks. I can never understand why the whole of (at least central) London cannot look the same. Really is no need for barriers and other obstacles on our streets.

Ah well I'm glad to bring back memories then! No doubt it has changed quite a bit since then.

It is a very prominent landmark in London, as it the Centre Point Tower which seems to be seen through every street in the area. Yes, there is a revolving restaurant on the 34th floor I think. Never been there myself but I'm sure you get some smashing views from it!

The streets are remarkably clean, much more so than many other British cities. I think those barriers are only placed in areas where traffic is pretty high though, unlike the many smaller streets around central London.

Here it is. This used to be Electra House built in 1920/30's. It's been partially rebuilt or reclad but the rear remains. Also the red brick Victorian building attached to it, as shown on another photo, was part of it.
