Country of the Rising Sun /\ Country of the Setting Sun

I would like to apologize if this thread doesn't find it place here and ask the forum to lock it if so.
I wished to check what the Japanese know about a country most probably unknown for the general public and which might form a sort of magical contradiction between two countries what everything separates as i guess it is the furthest point from japan i guess, An ancient empire called the empire of the setting sun in the past known as Morocco or maghrib literally land of god or extreme west.
