Suprisingly beautiful, China architecture is the best in Asia. India, Thailand, Cambodia are good too but I love the wooden architecture.

A huge country with many different architecture styles. Most people only knows about the architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasty but the ancient Chinese architecture interested me most. All over Asia, may be only China can keep so many beautiful ancient towns and villages.

Great work HKG. Please post more. I will definitely follow this thread..

镇远隶属贵州省黔东南苗族侗族自治州,位于舞阳河畔,四周皆山。河水蜿蜒,以“S”形穿城而过,北岸为旧府城,南岸为旧卫城,远观颇似太极图。两城池皆为明代所建,现尚存部分城墙和城门。城内外古建筑、传统民居、历史码头数量颇多。城东的青龙洞,是一组规模极其宏大的明清宗教建筑群,其间既有佛教寺庙,又有道教宫观和儒家祠庙,三教合一,蔚为壮观.

The ticket price is different depending on the season, from 30RMB to 80RMB I THINK.

You don't need a reservation, but that's a good idea to avoid a big queue, especially on holiday and in the weekends, anyway, the city is always full of tourists

Tengwang Pavilion first built in 653 AD , located city of Nanchang, Jiangxi province.
The building was a townhouse belong to the Prince of Li Yuanying in Tang Dynasty 李元婴.

滕王阁座落于南昌市西北,赣江东岸。始建于唐永徽四年。为当时任洪州都督的唐高祖李渊之子李元婴所建。据记载,李元婴于永徽三年迁任苏州刺史,调任洪州都督时建此阁以为别居。由于李元婴封号为“滕王”,故名滕王阁。
