Well, welcome to KL, the haven of spires and pinnacles ...
I love WM's imperfectness... kind work for me. Often times we see simpler n more perfectly looking supertalls in the America,Dubai or even China (mecca of supertalls) failed in gathering attentions.
They are too beautiful to be remembered...

I agree that this last render is the best yet. The structure looks much better now. The spire on top actually fits the shape, so I think it's fine

Not bad. I like the geometrical shape of the cladding Modern looking structure but I do feel the podium seems odd ?? However it might looks great once completed.. Who knows ☺️

Based on that render, I find the building too anonymous, characterless and of inelegant proportion. Compared to PTT, regardless whether you are a fan or not, it will always remain recognizable and distinct despite losing out on height. You know you are in KL when you see it.
KL118 on the other hand, could have been in any of the cities in the world.

agreed! The Petronas Twin Towers were just too Iconic and even though there are many supertall that have surpassed the twin, still failed to match the beauty of the building. it's does not look ageing at all!

Well I hate the spire too, but the spire is not actually pointless. If I remember correctly, I read some times ago that there will be an observation deck accessible to visitors inside the glass-clad spire.

i believe the spire has nothing to do with observation spaces...the viewing decks will be at 114-117th floors...whereas the topmost for vip's... both spaces are at the top box...

They desperately need to change the name of this tower... How insignificant is this, KL118? Sounds like the serial number of my toilet plunger.

And get rid of that fugly spire! Better have a slanted roof instead, so it'll look more slender and elegant.

The spire looks a lot better on the old design.

I highly doubt it that was even the previous design of KL118. Only people behind Opus project ever published that one in their own property ad. The proper render/look of KL118 was never made public, even now.

Even the architect's website makes no mention of the project in their portfolio!

I think the Chinese would like it since 118 has an auspicious meaning
