KT is pretty well organised!

Nice pix of KT... It really looks very organized, with that subang-like squarish grid... But this city is missing some vital ingredients: more tall buildings and shopping malls! If only KT were in the West Coast, things would be so different...

Nazrey, that big bridge is the Sultan Mahmud Bridge... Correct me if i'm wrong but i heard that the SMB is the 2nd longest one in malaysia... Its around 6km long (that would be nearly 1/2 of Penang Bridge!)...

Kampung Cina which is among the oldest Chinese settlement in the country is located along the the cape that projects out into river in the middle of the pic.

The large white building is the bus terminal but it only caters for domestic routes.

That big island under the bridge is called Pulau Duyung, home to traditional Malay ship building.

You can see a large incomplete building beside the bus terminal which is still under construction since mid- 90's, went on hold for several times due to developers having financial problems.

Yes Sultan Mahmud bridge is considered to be the second longest in the country but I'm not too sure of the exact length either hehe. I think it's abut 2-3 km...

I like to visit malaysia next year, but i really dont know where to start. I mean the cities look great, then the beaches and resorts are even better. I dont know.

Good idea, naina! But how long are you planning your holiday here 1st?

I suggest you explore Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding areas 1st, then can head on to the resorts like Penang and Langkawi... Malacca the historical city would also be a good choice... And if you have time, head on to Kuantan (in the East Coast of the Peninsula), with its wonderful beaches and batik!

Yes, there's a big kampung china in that area... Something like jonker st. in malacca (lots of old shophouses along a narrow road)... The place is near the seaside, but can't remember the exact location though...

Go to the islands in the east coast like Redang, Tioman or Perhentian islands. The water is much much clearer resulting in better visibility which is more suitable for activities like scuba dving and snorkelling and the beach has finer sands.

I tot I've pinpointed the location of Kampung Cina in my previous post. The place is actually located by the rivermouth in the pic.

Yea I live in the town... used to lah ....you can actually walk to the sea side to the south of the pic not far from the town. The huge water body is a actually a river.. the Terengganu river...the largest river in the state.
