Members are still not using the correct thread format despite an obvious laid out system. Please use some common sense, look at existing threads, and use that nomenclature style. Below is the format of how they should appear. Notice the block caps.
FOR LOCAL CITY THREADSFormat:
CITY NAME | Public Transport Mode
Notice: Block Caps for CITY NAME
All cities are confined to having one Public Transport thread. Exceptions can be made, however, to cities where there is a lot of discussion and updates. For example, London has one thread for the Underground, DLR, and TramLink network, another thread for all Network Rail (Overground, Thameslink, and Crossrail), and a separate thread for buses. Similarly, Hong Kong has separate threads for the MTR Mass Transit Railway, Double Decker Buses, and Double Decker Trams. This, however, must be first approved by a Subways and Urban Transport moderator.
Notice, threads with little generating discussion may be merged with another.
Examples:
VANCOUVER | Public Transport
HONG KONG | Mass Transit Railway
FOR GENERAL DISCUSSION THREADSFormat:
MISC | Discussion Thread Name
Notice: Block Caps for MISC
Discussion threads such as "Post pictures of your tram here" or "graffiti discussion" belong to this category.
Examples:
MISC | PRT General Discussion
Please also ensure that your city does not already have a similar thread before creating a new one. The Thread Finder is a general index and contains the list of most cities with threads on the Subways and Urban Transport forum. You can also use the Search feature found on the top right corner of the forum view. Upon creating a new thread, please make a note on the Thread Finder so that a moderator can add your discussion thread inside.
If you are unsure about the format or any of the instructions above, feel free to send a Private Message to any Subways and Urban Transport moderator.
