Gloucester, England, UK

A few old pics i rediscovered of Gloucester. A facinating city with a mix of a medieval heart and victorian industrialism (and one or two monstrosities).

The heart of Gloucester is its medieval cathedral, absolutely stunning building and has the largest stained glass window in Europe

Looks beautiful. Do you have some photos from the rest of the city (streets etc)?

As these are old pictures i hadnt quite got used tot he cammera, so im not posting many pictures of the cathedrals interior as they do it an injustice. The inside is amazing though as it is seperated into distinct area of different amounts of detail

Nice pics. I think the last time I was in Gloucester was 1970! Well worth another visit I think.

Stunning! Didn't know those mews were used in Harry Potter, cathedrals in Britain are astonishing.

Dockside photos would be interesting to see - I haven't been to Gloucester
for about 15 years so it must have changed a bit in that time.
The cathedral is an interesting mix of Romanesque and early/late Gothic which makes it very attractive and the setting is beautiful. Thanks for the great photos.
