No offense, but are you serious? Are they being serious? I'm laughing histerically right now at the idea of an 850 meter building being constructed in 6 months.

SSC really needs a vision section anyway, certain projects just aren't legit proposals.

Sounds crazy certainly, but after checking the experiments who knows. 30 floors in 15 days:

Will be funny to see how this one grows 15-20 floors from one update to the next in just one or two weeks.

Huge pity they chose Changsha, how weird! I'd rather see something like this in a first tier city. Hopefully, if built, it wont be Yuanda's last "revolution" how they call their stuff.

Thus, they can build this tower in about 4 months.
The first month, they build 60 storeys.
The second month, 120 storeys will be completed.
The third month is 180 storeys.
And end, they will complete all in less than 4 months.
Maybe they can build a 360 storey building in 6 months.

the higher you go the slower the construction will be. it takes much more time bringing material to a height of 600m+ than to just 100-200m.

sure, that won't double the time of construction but it will take a bit longer.

The top is smaller than the body. It looks like Dubai Khalifa.

There was also a building in China that collapsed because it was constructed too quickly, I think we should stick to traditional methods. But that's if the building gets built, I'm skeptikal about any 800+ meter tower.

But it looks not bad though, it's got a good thing going on.

Changsha is where the headquarters of Broad group are located. This is also where they built the 30 storey hotel. The hotel construction site is actually only a few kilometres away from their factories (where they assemble the floors before construction).

How durable are the building materials when the same technology is applied to a much taller building?

I think Broad Group now has the building technology specially made for supertall structures. Let's wait and see what will happen...

There is no way you could possibly build a 220 floor building in just 6 month.

Unlike 30 floor buildings you need really strong foundations (which already take at least 6 month until they are finioshed) and as others have already pointed out it takes much longer to get building materials to such heights.

Let's hope it is not, because that design looks absolutely atrocious.

I think that the 6 months thing refers to the erection process only, foundation must be excluded.

The tower looks a little boring, but considering the propoportions it'll be enormous.

that is what i thought too.
and i do not really mind if it takes longer, they try to amaze people with how fast they want to do it so people are interested in the project, i think it may take longer, maybe even twice as long but then it is still an amazing project and unbelievably effective. If this works out what i am also sceptical about it would be a milestone in construction technology. i think this is worth a try x) i hope they have the financial background to do build this monster. i also like that it is located in changsha.
