Burj khalifa is not sitting on a solid rock, the same with shanghai tower, and kingdom tower and many more. It was required for towers maybe like 50 years ago now technology went forward

In short foundation is no problem compared to providing strength and integrity for this building

It looks like broad group have updated their website and have released a new document about Sky City One. It seems like they have not yet released an English translation however. Anyone proficient enough is welcome to decipher it for everyone else.

I can't translate it accurately. But I spent some time on the last line of the document.

It says that they have not yet received official governmental approval, but were forced to publish this preliminary document because of a leak that occurred on June 5th. Under normal circumstances they would only have announced the project in August.

Well I hoped you translated it by yourself. Google translate is shit for chinese translation

IMO i think som and smithgill should deny this as fast as possible if they haven't designed it. Maybe someone calls them for statement?

I accept everything it says except when it says BK's architects designed this tower......This doesn't look like Adrian Smith's work. Is it? Cuz this design looks like it wants maximum wind drag....Adrian Smith wouldn't want that.

I feel exactly the same. And that info itself lowers my faith in this project (not to none but still that isn't professional to lie about architects). I'm sure we will hear definitive denial coming from the mentioned architects soon.

To all reporters viewing this thread: please ask som and smithgill for statement about this tower.

I feel this project was specifically designed in order to trump Azerbaijan's tower of turd.

Ok, so the 2 month assembly time frame is confirmed, holy crap this is gonna be epic. They probably will start foundation pouring when they announce the project in August.
