I would like to see them use their building method to build a supertall (but not megatall) with a very wide girth. Their method seems very suited to something like that. Like a 400m+ building with the width of 3x3 1WTC's. The stuff they brag about concerning air purity and sustainable energy use are exactly what such a building would call for.

I support anything that will speed us toward a Neuromancer/Blade Runner future of ultra-dense living.
There is no evidence to suggest that a modular steel building can't be made sufficiently fire resistant. Use of steel wasnt even found to be the reason for failure of the twin towers. It was the connection between floor trusses and vertical supports that we're at fault. They weren't designed to handle sagging when the trusses were super heated. If they had been designed to handle that scenario, the twin towers would still be standing. Thus we shouldn't conclude that steel is unsafe.

That's true. From what I know about 9/11 the problem of the Twins was that they had only the trusses to connect the core with the perimeter structure. These trusses proved to be too vulnerable to heat.

I don't mind watching those History Channel shows until that troll claims that aliens are the answer to everything.

I watch that show too. It's rather funny. That Tsoukalos guy is the next crazy Danny (Däniken)

I downloaded 3 entire seasons, although I only watched like half of the first season.

Over the years Ive learned that the key to being "normal" is not in what you believe, but in how you present it.

If I had crazy hair and blamed everything on aliens, went outside and held a sign that said "REPENT, THE END IS NEAR", Of course I would look insane, and no one would take me seriously. The actual info may be factual and even the truth, but no one would believe me simply because I would sound and look like a madman.

Thats why i was rather disappointed with the show- the information is actually good, and may even show some truth in it. However, the way the show is presented (ie delivery) makes everyone in the show seem like a joke and therefore mainstream science doesnt have any time to waste on what seems like bullshit.

I may have even crazier ideas than the "ALIENS" guy, but the only reason someone would believe me more is because I present myself without the "bat-shit insane" factor.

That's true. Ufology is full of freaks which make it a bad name. Then the few serious ufologists are ridiculed as well because of these freaks

Yeah I was watching some on the Nazis with some hardcore evidence of extraterrestrial involvement, but it declined to the point when they claimed that aliens planted DNA molecules into Noah's ark .

This is a humongous project. And probably a good one as well because the city needs recognition. I never heard of Changsha before. I guess it will be a good investment for the city to have this MegaTall build. However, they need to be conservative on this. I am pretty sure investors are already in to have this MegaTall built but they better make sure of that.

Oh, I love the design as well. It looks totally megalothic. However, they probably need to check the Dubai's MegaTall proposal as well. Those Megatall proposals are very impressive. Too bad, they will never be build. And the MegaTall proposal in Moscow ('Crystal Palace'? Or something similar to that). That one is impressive as well. It ain't tall but it's totally huge!

I really hope this project isn't just a publicity stunt but sadly, I doubt that.
