The site is just huge.this building footprints is surely need some good space, but the site itself is enormous much beyond what seem's to be skycity's perimeter.
is there any further developments aside skycity, maybe a skycity towers block ?

Bare feet?

A septic tank is a good sign .

The soft hat people are sub-contractors or the local village people ?

Natural light

I'm sure it's been said before but an awful lot of those apartments won't get any natural light.

Open plan offices would work from this point of view but then you are looking at beefing up the elevator system at least four-fold?

there will be an internal street aswell as gardens, basketball courts, offices ,shops and the like. Only the outer layers will be residential as far as i know. It will pretty much be an arcology

The biggest difference is that the internal street now carries car traffic all the way to 170 floor. Atleast according to this http://en.broad.com/uploads/pdf/tkcswsm201307.pdf

On BROAD group website there is also a text where BROAD group founder and CEO Zhang Yue personally speaks for his project and attempt to refute the criticism the project have received. link to it here http://en.broad.com/uploads/pdf/tkcsznl.pdf

That's what i'm sitting here wondering. I'm sure it is foot traffic because if it isn't, then there is gonna be a lot of dead people inside this tower

There's going to be a ramp like a parking garage in the interior of the tower.

Forget the tallest building deal, being able to drive a car up to the 170th floor is going to make this the 8th Wonder of the World !

No, they're planning a 6-Lane highway up to the 100th floor for a faster transport of all the People.

That woul be a major pain to do, though. Ramp after ramp after ramp... I feel sick after ust the 3rd or 4th level of a parking garage.

I know it sounds ludicrous, but it seems like thats how it works. Apparently this "skystreet" will be over 10 km long.
Notice the text that says that car traffic can go to the 170th floor ,thats 612m above ground

WOW!!
So how do they plan to keep people from dying from carbon monoxide poisoning? Car fires? Gas tank explosions? You know, all the stuff that happens daily to cars on a normal street outside

Probably the same thing they do with parking garages. For carbon monoxide, I think they'll have some sort of vent.

I think the interior has such structure and it'll be capable of vehicle usage up to 170th floor, but in practice it won't be used in such ways, rather it's for pedestrians.

If you see Changsha's temperature in recent days you'll understand why they dress in such ways, I'm fairly certain they are migrant workers hired by the contractors to do the basic work, local villagers are probably too rich to do such work.

Again those are things planned and promoted by the previous two administrations, not the current one. And the key point is that they don't want to be portrayed as blindly chasing #1 in all those aspects. It'll still happen because of China's sheer size and speed of progress, but they won't be widely promoted.
