Since many of us can't understand Tamil, could someone help us out with the photo-captions? Regarding these projects: has a date been given as to when they're expected to be ready for operations?

Another one BANNED? Half an hour ago he was asking for help, the next you know he's banned. What happened inbetween? Why are people hellbent on making this forum a non-serious one?

Maybe because he has been posting these Arihant pictures in threads on Saigon, Istanbul etc. Also, the posts themselves have had most gibberish (dfdffdad etc.)

Weird!

I see that. You were banned earlier by the admin for spamming in various forums. Unless you have a valid explanation you will probably end up banned again.

That's not very nice of you. Your behaviour atracted the attention of many mods and you were banned because of it. You were in the Dutch threads, Istanbul, Saigon ....

You didn't spoil our threads but in a way you spoiled the generally good reputation of Indian forumers.

As DrWho has mentioned there is a test forum for doing such stuff.

I hope you will not cause any more trouble in other forums.

Even if you post here, you have the possibilty of editing and re-editing your post. I don't think that there's any shame attached to editing one's postings? It's better this way, then testing wildly.

We have serious discussions and a lot of fun side by side. The mods and the other forumers only want to ban people that create trouble and/or make "serious" "innappropriate" comments, such 'honest thoughts' where other nations/religions/people etc. are needled, are not welcome. You know what I mean. This is a development forum, and more than that, a skyscrapers forum, which doesn't need to involve such things.

Anyway welcome back Arun, and very nice pictures. But what you did was very wrong, you just can't go trash other threads and forums like that!

Maybe mms had a 'point', when he insinuated that Indian's are way too defensive, and rely too much on the perceptions of outsiders, to bail them through. Split behavior is of no use, and only makes us a soft target: Maybe it's that extreme 'sweetness' and 'correctness' of ours, that prompts certain people to rile us up? After a while it gets so bad, that we end up taking names, and then everything looks so pathetic!

And how conveniently you want to miss the point. Putting trolls in their place and shutting up anti-India trash is different, you DON'T need to unnecessarily bring religion, or make unprovoked comments on others, on your part. Then you become just like them. We are not trying to be 'overly-correct' or 'sweet' with these people. We can just mind our own business, and we will tell them to mind theirs. We have had these trolls coming in from a long time, and I just put it down to jealousy and infereority complexes.... Nobody takes them seriously anyway.

Regarding mms, I don't know what you made of what he said, and I esp. don't get what you are saying here - Maybe mms had a 'point', when he insinuated that Indian's are way too defensive, and rely too much on the perceptions of outsiders, to bail them through

He was angry that the 'shithole' Mumbai was being comared to a certain east asian city, and 'degrading their achievements'. What do you say to something like that?! Idiots like him needn't be reasoned with, he had no point and is a lunatic, he could also be some previously banned member, I don't know, I don't care.

It's not our 'sweetness', infact we've hardly been sweet with them, with the no. of slang matches that have occured off-late. It's just them, they're pathetic. They'll keep going at it, they are losers with nothing else to do. What we do is ignore them and don't give them what they want, i.e don't feed the trolls. Shut them up and see them off.

Ok, cool it.

Regarding these so-called trolls, (including an infamous one whom we all know), kshatriya, your reaction has been a tad too defensive. Mind you, only a bit, i.e. posting swear words when the idiot spammed city vs. city. I've been on this forum long enough to know precisely the sort of idiots he represents.. and he deserves to be treated like that, only no swear words and stuff. And well, I guess it does look like excessive defensiveness to people who have only recently joined the fourm; they don't know (how can they?) how much trouble trolls have caused. Next time we have some pathetic troll, let's just leave him be and respond fully calmly - so as not to give this impression of "excessive defensiveness" to outsiders/newcomers.

And um, I think our mod will agree that enough had been said on this issue. Let's leave it at this.

Keep this thread free of further discussion on this topic. Let it remain Sridhar's Chennai photos.

As far as banning decisions are concerned, they are not done randomly. Such decisions are taken by senior mods after extensive discussion and taking a look at the past history of the concerned forumer.

I wish to make something clear here. Arun was banned for spamming by Jan. I infact learnt about it from Madhusudhan's post. Arun has re-registered since and while his explanation has been a bit flimsy, it has been accepted at face value.

No mod is here to "show off" his or her powers by banning people.

On the other hand there have been forumers who have used multiple registrations (and are still using) just to be mean or make sneaky personal attacks. This is not correct.

This is a forum related to development projects, skyscrapers, skylines.. Keep it to that. We are here to showcase stuff about India.

Let that be the main business of this forum.

Arun, post your photos in another thread, make a new thread for it, or if you want to post photos collected from the internet, you can post them in the existing Chennai cityscapes thread....let Sridhar's thread remain his. Thanks.
