Patrick's visit to Tokyo / 東京 2010 - (3/4) :)

Part 3 of my Tokyo series. These were made on the 12th october.

106.

Askukusa dori, near my hotel looking 'towards' Ueno station.

107.

So much traffic (cars and pedestrians) in front of Ueno station.

108.

Below the tracks between Ueno and Akihabara you can find lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc, Ameyoko is a great area!

109.

'Businessman' can "relax" here

110.

other part of the "Ameyoko" area.

111.

Streetscene in Akihabara

112.

Tempelcomplex Kanda Myojin

113.

Kanda Myojin (2)

114.

Main gate of Kanda Myojin complex.

115.

Yushima Seido looks dark due to that colour setting imo!

116.

These guys help with that feel

117.

This gives me a real tokyo feel. Buildings, roadways, metro, railways, waterways, bridges.

118.

Wider view of that

119.

Use the avaliable grounds wisely!

120.

Great tower,Century Tower, by Norman Foster.

121.

Tokyo does has its churches; Nicolai Cathedral.

122.

Streetscene in the area Kanda-Surugadai near Ochanomizu station

123.

Sometimes you almost walk on the railroadtracks

124.

Streetscene again.

Next stop:Bunkyo Civic Center tower.

125.

Streetscene near amusement park.

126.

Big Wheel and coaster @ Korakuen Amusement Park.

After that with the elevator went up Bunkyo Civic Center. When the weather is really ideal you can actually seen Mount Fuji from here when its nicely situated behind the skyline of Shinjuku.

127.

Views as i said.

128.

Well i did't have that great clear weather as you can see only Shinjuku skyline and no Mount Fuji

129.

Views with left the towers of Shinjuku and on the right side the towers in the Ikebukuro area with the Sunshine 60 tower (240m)

130.

Views towards Ikebukuro.

131.

I just had to make this shot!

132.

Densely packed tokyo

133.

More views of Tokyo

134.

Looking down at a crossing

Again Patrick, thank you for sharing your pictures with comments of them.

I see that you were at the amusement park near Tokyo Dome; did you ride the Thunder Mountain Roller Coaster? I've done it and it was such a thrill.
