Hi everyone! Sorry for the spam
 Now I'm creating paper model of Energy Plaza, Dallas. Scale 1:1000 (1 cm. =10 m.). I use only photos from Internet, because I live in Russia. But I have one problem - I can't find some photos of base from Bullington Street ... see the picture. I will be glad, if somebody will help me! Thanks!

to diablo: i think all the pictures are nice. the first one w/ the pasture range, but i absolutely adore the coming storm in the distance. what a great shot. i guess i always think "urban", when i think of texas, although i have traveled through a good deal of it, except around san antonio. most of the time, in the last few years, i am always flying into and out of houston and dallas. again, that is a beautiful storm scene, and i suspect that someone will produce it in an oil painting. great job.
one last comment, almost two years ago, july, i was returning from marco island, fla, and as i was coming into tampa on I-75---i think that is right---a lady ran into my new car, which i was christening w/ my drive from b'ham to the island. after the accident was recorded, and we began to look for a dinner location, we got sort of lost. we headed away from the interstate, and we ended up at a wire fence that had cement barriers about 8 feet in ht. we could see the tails of large aircraft; however, it didn't look as if it were tampa international. i can't remember the name of the street, but it was not the best area and i remember how high the grass was on the side of the road. we drove several miles, before we got into an area, where we finally located a pretty good restaurant. after eating dinner, we began to look for downtown, yet we never located it. i'm sure we searched for over an hour. we must have been traveling north to north east. finally, we got back to an area that got us to the interstate, but i would say that we had traveled a secondary road for over 20 miles, before we saw interstate signs. although i lived there only 7 or 8 months, i have lived in tampa several years ago. i don't understand why we never saw the skyline or we couldn't get our bearings? any idea where we went wrong. to the best of my recollection, we would have probably existed the interstate, and we ended up continuing westerly. we still laugh about it. when i saw the nice photo of the tampa skyline, i decided to share this experience. do you think that we were at the airport? i never saw any water, bay, or evidence of a marina, etc. |
