Just arrived in Dubai - in today's newspaper it said that this was 260m tall

1,2 and 3 bed apartments ... all selling at 750dhs per square foot.

The advert did say 'over 70 floors of residential apartments' however the article on the following page contradicted it.

The article also said this is the tallest tower confirmed in the Marina so far?!?

If the Al Ameera is anything to go by, they announce the height before they've even tested the ground ...

Does anybody know if a tower is to be built immediately behind Marina Pinnacle. I know it has a tower either side (La Reve being one) but what is planned behind it?

there will be towers
the only one we know is mag 218 with 55 floors, opposite marina heights
all of them are under construction, but fenced in completely and no signboards for at least 4 towers
there will also be the shopping mall between mag 218 and marina pinnacle
check the marina map by dazz in sticky thread

Maybe it's 260m to the roof and 280m to the top of the spire.

that picture shows the distance between the towers perfectly with Marina Heights and Al Seef in background...
will look much more closer on the road side in front of the Marina...

That isn't the Marina Heights in the background of the picture ... you'd have to turn over 90 degrees right to see the Marina Heights.
