Thanks! And will they leave it like that? For the basement of the building?

Not necessarily. For instance, they removed the rings for Pingan tower as the foundation was being built.

I was wondering the same thing, but sometimes they just fill them in around the core.. At least I've seen that on less tall bldgs.

I could see them converting it into a parking garage if there's a desire.

Did they just fill the dirt in around the square core? I think I've seen that done but can't recall where now. And it wasn't to the scale of this either. Much smaller rings and not near as tall bldg.^ Enjoy Ny L.A.F.2.

No, they don't fill it in with dirt; they just replace th temporary rings with the permnent basement structure.

I believe that the ring structures are always temporary and will be demolished gradually when the construction progresses. At least I have never seen a picture that proves otherwise.

I believe so too. Supporting structures are too tall. They would take too much space, and after floors are ready supports are not needed anymore.

The only example I know of is Shenzhen World Finance Center | 997 feet. The concrete ring seems to be left intact and the basement floors built below and above it. They might still destroy it later but I don't know why they would wait that long.

It most likely what happened. The floor above supporting structure was build to give the support and then supporting structure below that floor could be removed. What would be the point of building floors above and below supporting structure?

Question:

Quote:
WUHAN | Greenland Center | 636m | 2086ft | 125 fl | 404m | 1325ft | U/C
Does that 404m height meant that this supertall will have a shorter twin too?
