1. It is Beijing West.

2. Beijing West has had subway connection for one year.

Rumor

Zhuhai Railway Station will be opened on 2013 January 1. The station is within walking distance from Gongbei Port to Macau.

LOL that's a interesting way to attract passengers, essentially using the HSR as the airport's own shuttle service.

Gongbei Station is 24 km away from the current terminus of Jintang. There are 3 intermediate stations between Jintang and Gongbei: Tangjiawan, Mingzhu and Qianshan.

As of now, the fastest train Guangzhou South-Zhuhai North takes 48 minutes with 2 intermediate stops.

What shall be the fastest trip time Zhuhai North-Zhuhai next Tuesday?

you are right. Now all Beijing's railway stations (Beijing Railway Station, Beijing West, Beijing South, Beijing North) are connected by subways.

A underground rail connection is being constructed between Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West. After competed Beijing Railway and Beijing West will be virtually one station.

Hi, there, I went by bus Kwangchow-Zhukhoi many times in 2006-7, is there high speed train now? Any info & pictures? Siemens, Alstom or China-own vehicle served?

There are more migrant workers in Guangzhou than any other city in China. Its railway station has faced severe capacity problems.

230,000 passengers use Guangzhou station each day during the travel peak. It’s normal capacity is only 40, 000. 32 million journeys are expected to be made here during the Spring Festival. And migrant workers have always found it extremely hard to buy a ticket.

Now, with the Beijing to Guangzhou high-speed rail coming to service, people say it’s much more easier for them to go back home during the Spring Festival.

Migrant worker in Guangzhou said, "In the past, it took more than 20 hours for me to go home. And it’s hard to buy tickets. Now booking tickets is very convenient. And if I get on the train in the morning, I can have dinner with my family in the afternoon."
It is interesting, though not implausible, fact that there are more migrant workers in Guangzhou than in any other city of China - more than in Shenzhen or Shanghai.

The high speed railways from Guangzhou to Wuhan have been in service for 3 new years already. The railways to Zhengzhou, Xian, Beijing and Taiyuan are new.

Guangzhou-Zhengzhou: First morning train G832 leaves 7:18, but arrives 13:51. But it is passed by the first express train G94, leaves 8:00 and arrives 13:28 already. Price RMB 655 in second class.

However, the railway Zhuhai-Guangzhou opens late in the morning. The first train, D7604, leaves Zhuhai North 7:40 and arrives Guangzhou South 8:43.

The first Guangzhou-Zhengzhou train after D7604 is G96, leaves 9:00, arrives 14:35.

The last evening train is G76, leaves 16:30, arrives 22:31. The connecting train is D7632, 15:15-16:18.

The slow trains take 14:58 to 20:53 Guangzhou-Zhengzhou. Price RMB 194 in seats, RMB 330-353 in hard sleeper, RMB 576-601 in soft sleeper, RMB 1059-1105 in luxury soft sleeper

12.26 Zhengzhou-Xuzhou HSR starts construction

Zhengzhou-Xuzhou high-speed rail is part of Xuzou-Lanzhou HSR (1400km), one of the backbone HSR network. It connects Beijing-Guangzhou HSR and Beijing-hanghai HSR.

Zhengzhou-Xuzhou HSR will be 361.9km, 9 stations, crossing Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu Provinces. The design speed is 350km/h. The construction will last for 48 months.

Cannot tell - it is a matter of opinion.

There certainly exists a railway, opened in January 2011.

Where it goes, however, is a matter of opinion. It goes to "Zhuhai North" station.

That Zhuhai North station is 24 km away from a station under construction and as yet incomplete, in central Zhuhai. Whether you call "Zhuhai North" suburbs of Zhuhai or simply not there is therefore a matter of opinion.

Whether the said train is a high-speed one is another matter of opinion. It certainly is designated D.

The 2 fastest trains for 93 km Zhuhai North - Guangzhou South cover the distance in 48 minutes. The slowest takes 1:08. Of the 26 total, 9 take 0:53, and 3 are 0:54 or 0:56, so 14 out of 26 are 0:56 or less.

For comparison, on the 102 km distance Shenzhen North-Guangzhou South, no G train takes over 0:46. 4 out of 41 cover the distance in 0:29, and 27 in 0:36. Thus 31 trains out of 41 are 0:36 or less.

What is the top speed of D trains Zhuhai North-Guangzhou South? 250 km/h, 200 km/h or 160 km/h?

Could someone help me out?

If I land at HKG at 20:45 which is the easyest (and / or cheapest) way to get to Guangzhou South Railway Station, and in your opinion which is the first train bound for Wuhan I could catch?

Here's some data of its impact to airlines 1-day after the new HSR opening:

Airfares along the Beijing-Guangzhou lines:

500km flights: over 50% flights dropped price
800km~1000km flights: 20% flights dropped price
1500km flights: no impact

The high speed railways shut for night. The last G train for Wuhan, G1178, shall have departed at 19:20.

Your options are:
a) sleep on ground in Hong Kong or Guangzhou, catch first morning train. This is G1102, leaving 7:00, arriving 11:10.
b) get to Guangzhou instead of Guangzhou East, get on slow speed overnight train, arrive next morning.
T180, leaving 21:20, is probably too early to catch. Next is K437/K436, leaving Guangzhou 23:06, also stopping Dongguan East, leaving 21:46. But it is slow, arriving in Wuhan 11:26. It is passed by T38/T35, leaving Guangzhou 23:53, arriving in Wuhan 10:42.
