because of there are too many breakdowns in the running of CRH5, perhaps those trains made in Italy, but the service engineers I saw in CRH5 were spoking French !

Now that China has Shinkansen technology, German technology and French technology... they can combine the best out of all three and create a truly formidable train.

Japan is really pushing export of its Shinkansen technology and looks like it really is willing to bend to other country's demands to do so.

It will be interesting to see what gets built in Vietnam. Japan is working very close with that country.

CRH5-001A had been painted white as of 2008, unfortunately.

The first 3 trains was totally made in Japan, the others was assemblied in China.

When I adjusted the seat in CRH2, I found label indicating it was born in Japan. Talking with steward, all of the devices she touched was made in Japan too.

And in that light your comment makes even more sense, because sadly that's something that's more often the case with Italian trains.
In fact since when FIAT Ferroviaria was sold to Alstom, the products of this italian firm are very crappy. Alstom doesn't give a shit to its italian branch.

The crappy CRH5 was kicked off from the game.
Ministry of Railway give a new order, modified BST CRH1 replaced the CRH5 on the 250km/h market.

In Italy is the same. The ETR600, on which the CRH5 is based, was espected to enter service in 2007. It entered service only this year!!!!!!! And the ETR610, based on the ETR600 has problems on the Gothardbahn. This year the Italian State Railways are going to place an order of 50/60 new HS trains. I'll hope they won't be neither Alstom/FIAT nor AnsaldoBreda or any other european mess.
