... 380 km/h, 1,350 km in 2007, 2,740 in 2008 (there were 1,053), ...
France has 2,036 km, 757 under construction and 2,407 "planned" long term (will not even 20%); total: 5,200.
In Spain there (according to UIC, although less) 2,515; 1,308 and 1,702 (will not even 20%); total: 5,525.
Japan: 2.664; 779 and 179; total: 3,622.
All wrong.

What f*ck*ng train is the image?
Is this? Or this?
Where does this media that knows neither its trains?

Indeed all those planned lines in EU are 90% fiction, particularly in just 10 years. The only new train lines I can see built within 20 years which are currently not under construction would be Bordeaux-Toulouse in France, Murcia-Almeria in Spain, HS2 to Birmingham in UK, Turin-Lyon in France/Italy and Stockholm-Gothenburg in Sweden. That would be a total of ca 500 km.

CRH is merely a brand now, pretty much only means the train is a MU, not even EMU, as the CRH Harmony Great Wall is a DMU. That's why China distinguished High Speed (Gaotie, G train) and Multiple Unit (Dongche, D train), only those guys going faster than 250km/h are considered G trains. CRH6 is foremost a intercity train under the CRH brand, because it's a EMU.

The NDJ3 "Harmony and the Great Wall" DMU it is not a CRH train, can not pass 160 km/h.
I do not understand anything.

The record with diesel traction (in testing) has the Talgo XXI at 256 km/h the 2002/06/12.
Commercial service there are several that reach 200 km/h top speed.

Overreaction to Taipei rail proposal
10 March 2016
China Daily Excerpt

The proposed construction of high-speed railway linking Beijing and Taipei, revealed in the draft outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), if implemented, would mark a positive step toward promoting broader traffic and economic links between the mainland and Taiwan.

However, such a plan has created ripples throughout Taiwan, with some of its media and officials interpreting the plan as "preparation for reunification" with the island.

It is Chinese people's long-cherished dream to reunite the mainland and Taiwan, but the building of a high-speed railway alone would not achieve this goal as some in the island are claiming.

For the sake of better development on both sides of the Straits, it is normal and also practical to build a high-speed railway linking Beijing and Taipei, especially in the context of the mainland accelerating its infrastructure construction.

But considering the increased uncertainties in cross-Straits relations following the victory of Taiwan's pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party in the island's recent election, there are likely to be difficulties that will need to be overcome to build a high-speed railway or expressway between the two sides of the Straits.

The overreaction to the proposed high-speed railway project reflects the sense of urgency or political fear among some in Taiwan, those independence-minded ones in particular, in the face of the rapid buildup of the mainland's comprehensive strength.

You are right, it's not under the CRH brand as I previously thought. In fact I just found out it's not even under CRC! It's part of the Beijing City Railway, the city's urban/suburban/intercity heavy rail transit agency.

So at least NDJ3 DMU is not CRH.
Does China have any EMUs which are not CRH?

Before they had one Xinshisu (X2000 Swedish: 1998/2012) to 200 km/h, or the DDJ1 Blue Arrow, but it has to have thousands of EMU to 120/160 km/h or more than CRH.

China really doesn't have that many DMU/EMUs before CRH, there are even fewer nowadays if any. I've only counted 45 trainsets total.

Here is a list I have compiled.

EMU:
CNR KDZ1, 140km/h, 1 trainset, scrapped
CNR KDZ1A Chuncheng, 120km/h, 1 trainset, stored
CSR DJF1 Zhongyuan Star, 160km/h, 1 trainset, stored
CSR DJF2 Pioneer, 200km/h, 1 trainset, scrapped (First domestic distributed power 200km/h class EMU, based on Kawasaki E300 series)
CNR DJF3 Changbai Mountain, 200km/h, 2 trainsets, stored
CNR DJJ1 Blue Arrow, 200km/h, 8 trainset, stored/scrapped
CSR DJJ2 China Star, 270km/h, 1 trainset, museum (Domestic speed record holder prior to CRH)
CSR/CNR DDJ1 White Shark, 200km/h, 1 trainset, scrapped (First domestic concentrated power 200km/h EMU)

DMU:
CSR NYJ1 Jinlong/Beiya/Beihai/Hanlu/Jiujiang, 140km/h, 13 trainsets, scrapped/stored
CSR NDJ1 Harmony Great Wall, 160km/h, 1 trainset, in service

DMU Double Decker:
CNR NZJ Lushan, 120km/h, 2 trainsets, scrapped
CSR NZJ1 New Dawn, 160km/h, 1 trainset, stored
CNR NZJ2 Shenzhou/Jinlun, 160km/h, 9 trainsets, scrapped

DMU Tilt Train:
CNR Putian, 160km/h, 1 trainset, stored
CNR TSD09, 160km/h, 2 trainsets, stored

GuangFoZhao Intercity Railway and GuangHui Intercity Railway OPENED Part 1

The GuangFoZhao Intercity Railway and GuangHui Intercity Railway , the two lines of The Preal River Delta Rapid Transit were both opened on 30th Mar . Finally !

Firstly , here is the map of GuangFoZhao Intercity Railway

Because FoShan West Station is still U/C , all trains will pass it . And the trains will take the route of GuangMao Railway to Guangzhou Sta.

The pics below were Photoed by CRH1A-0317_廣鐵晴段

At the opening day of GuangFoZhao Intercity Railway , she take a ride on it. From ShiShan North (狮山北) To GuangZhou (广州). It takes 25yuan , about 3.85USD

Everyone need to buy ticket with their own ID card , even to ride this kind of commuter style railway , it is not very convenient because you can buy it in advance with your phone . I hope some day this rule will be changed .

The "CRH" sticker in the station , but it is not excatly a "high speed rail" . "CRH" has became a brand name .

Finally the CRH6 starts its commercial running . Platform screen doors are equipped , staying a little way from the edge of platform , preventing them damaged by the air pressure when some trains will pass the station with 160 KM/H .

The internal of CRH6A is a totally the "commuter style" , fixed seats , rings for holding , more space for standing , no dining car , it still keep the luggage racks .

Photoed at Guangzhou West Station , which is a freight base station . But it will be used for unloading passengers in the rush hour during ChunYun

It's a brand new way to travel to the western part of The pearl river delta —— by inter city railway !

GuangFoZhao Intercity Railway and GuangHui Intercity Railway OPENED Part 2

GuanHui Intercity Railway (ChanPingdong常平东 - XiaoJinKou小金口 section ) also opened in 30,Mar,2016.

Pics below were photoed by @开元盛世永不灭

CRH6 also run on the GuanHui Intercity Railway . It will be come the mian crew of The Pearl River Delta Rapid Transit . There are only 4 trains operating on this line , so the frequency will be about an hour , not enough yet . With more rolling stocks being made , the frequency will be upgraded .

Like other CRH train , the screens in the carriage will show the speed . The designed speed is 200KM/H , but 150KM/H in operation .
The red sign on the right means the toilet is being occupied , so if you see this sign , you should walk to another coach or just waiting for using the toilet.

Llinbei Sta. You can notice the "和谐号"(harmony) logo on the train , the Chinese brand name of CRH.
The Stations are design in a "National Railway" style , which has simple decorations , large dark blue signs , using dot screens not TV to show the train info . Compare to the colorful style like other metro station , the stations on this line seems to be boring , in my opinion .

Underground section between Longfeng and XiaoJinKou .A blue sign(动车组停车位置,stop position for EMU) for accurate stop . Lights equipped in the tunnel , quite "metro style"

All cars of one CRH6 train will be second class coach . And all tickets are not "seat matched" , you can freely choose the seat you want , if there are seats available .

Entrances are named by alphabet , this point is quite different form the other CRH lines . It just like a metro style station , but the signs are in "National railway" style .

A Chinese architecture style entrance of XiHuDong Railway Sta. I looks good of merging the atmosphere of the surroundings (even some building materials beside are not removed yet) .

The large sign of station name so that you can't miss it , haha
