Just watched it - thanks for posting. It is great to hear as well as see the effort that went into making this line

By the way I couldn't get it playing on my PC, even with the latest codec pack. It played ok on my TV, though.

I guess not ... China Star is loco-hauled whereas a regional train would more probably take the form of an EMU. I could be wrong though.

Watched it twice, really nice to see a documentary about his line. It was very informative too. I didnt know they have been working on bogie design for 8 years. There should be a documentary series about HSR network. Elevated lines, bridges, stations, trains, social impacts... All these subjects deserve high quality, educational and informative documentaries.

maybe I am nitpicking, but trains in the computer animation are driving on the right side, which is wrong.

Cool video for those of us hungry for visuals of the line. There are, of course, the funny staged one-liners between the managers and technicians like "Have you checked it for problems? Yes, there are no problems."

China CRH train always seems to be driving on the left track.

Could you please enlighten me -- why the left track?
What is the downside of driving the CRH train on the right track?

Bunch of thanks,
MM

All trains (except metro) drive on the left track in China.

It was probably the choice of the engineers who laid the first track signals in China (likely the British); and it just stuck. The same situation applies to other countries like France and Italy which are also right-side roads but left-side rail.
