Size : 59-storey residential tower with 301 three- bedroom and 106 two-bedroom apartments. Multi-storey car park with 471 parking bays. Total built up area of 99,800sqm

Status : Detailed design

Atkins is appointed as lead consultant for architecture, interior design, structural mechanical and electrical engineering design, construction supervision and project management for the Bright Start Tower.

The project consits of a G+59 storey residential tower and the associated multi-storey car park with a total built-up area of 99,800m2.

The residential tower comprises 301 three-bedroom apartments and 106 two-bedroom apartments on 55 typical floors with retail space on the ground and mezzanine floors. The building services are accommodated on the 10th, 30th and 50th floors. The car park building consists of 10 floors with a capacity of 471 parking bays. A 25m long swimming pool, gymnasium, squash courts and changing rooms are accommodated on the roof of the car park building.

The building has been conceptualised to achieve the Client's vision creating a timeless building with a landmark statement. The massing of the building is based on the assembly of two main forms of different nature. The first is the solid 'frame element' which expresses an anchorage to the ground; the second is the 'central body' supported by the 'frame element' and expresses a vertical movement towards the sky. This is further emphasised by the articulation of the 'main body' into lighter elements at the apex of the building.

The symbolic dialogue between these two forms creates the expression of dynamic movement vertically. This movement is further emphasised by the presence of the deep recess at the base which creates a weightlessness to the 'main body' of the tower.

This one is amazing, its residential but doesnt have any balconies and attractive design! I hope it goes through.

This will be on SZR for the following reasons-the multi story parkade is at the rear of the building and all towers in the marina or JLT have them in basements or in the podium

I been driving through SZR today and i noticed that there is a boarding going up for a new tower that will be located near muala tower (i think its part of the whole Burj Dubai development) They already have like 3 rigs out there getting the ground ready for foundations. If anybody goes to SZR anytime soon can someone take a pic of the boarding when its up? thats if i don't go back there soon

No the boarding was pretty far from the road and i did not see any details on it (they still need to put up the building info and a pic of it)

nothing on the baording yet if you mean the tower just odne from 220 and 210
the back lights for the boards are still being installed
this one has been started for like a few weeks now SA Boy brought in up inside the thread for towers in same area
Moved this to project thread and will start the details at the top when they come in

Yep the line of towers along SZR has really moved up now extend past denfence round about. I really hope there are some sky briges to the other side ( connected to spinney maybe ) and that one of these is both
Over 40 floor and a few of intresing desgin

I'm going to go back there in a few days so hopefully they'll have finished the boarding. One thing i hope is that they build more super talls on SZR like 300- maybe 400 if ever possible would be nice

i agree with that Trances, they should make a skyscraper that looks like the sears tower with the same color of Emirates towers and the Gate in the DIFC
