Navi Mumbai always had a lot of potential but sadly the lack of fast connections with Mumbai has come as road block. If they could build a couple of rail and road tunnels connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, it would have surely led to a bigger boom much earlier.

Is that flyover the one in front of Vashi station ? It was under construction when I was there 2-3 years back.

Assuming you are referring to the third picture, that bridge is in Kharghar and not Vashi.

I don't really like the buildings I see. Many are just white. Not best paint jobs. Not much commercial. Concrete slabs. not all are artistic kind of.

It is pretty well planned though I think they could do much better on the building aesthetics department.
