Possible new 376m high skyscraper in Zagreb

Croatian buesnisman Tomislav Horvatincic has reqested permisison from Zagreb City Council for buildining 376m high skyscraper.If Horvatincic build this skyscraper it will be the highest in Europe and 10th world.Horvatincic hopes that will be over in 2008.

Hope not. Because Zagreb will look something like this.

I think that he was supposed to have the design already and not just say that it will look like Frankfurt Deutsch Bank.

And this is proportion.

First line shows average Zagreb building height. Than the size of Cathedral and the last,red one, shows the top of future tower at 376m.

I think you should agree that it is not important will it be in the city center or in the New Zagreb, it will look abnormal.

in Taipei, the world tallest doesn't look abnormal... It depends of the design, if they build a landmark for zagreb, it will not be so horrible.

Gotta admit I kinda doubt it would get built

Yes but Zagreb has Cathedral of 100m and two towers of 90m. On the other hand Taipei is full of those skyscrapers that are 200 m tall.

I don't think taht this would be a good idea.

Its better to build many small highrises in a nice cluster. This would look way better.

Thing is that Taipei is spread out in terms of skyscrapers.
