This pic is looking at the buildings that line Biscayne Blvd. and for the exception of 2 buildings not one of those buildings exist anymore.

Wow the difference in Miami compared today is staggering. Granted many cities have grown greatly in the last 50 years, but still staggering.

Miami is a "shock city" like Chicago was in the late 1800s and Las Vegas was ten years ago. A year ago the city seemingly needed gambling to jumpstart new construction. Now it doesn't matter: the flood of money from all over the world into Miami is likely to just shove new towers into the sky this decade.
