Oh, it's one of the former premetro lines in Vienna that was hastily converted to a metro.

Yes, it seems to be what Bart_LCY wrote...

Interesting to imagine how an arriving train will make obese passengers roll along the wall

Yes It's Piata Romana!
Now the story...

When they started building the metro station, at the Roman Square, the president of Romania, in the 80 years, and his wife visited the site. Then he says that it’s not necessary to build a new metro station in the Roman Square because the bucharesters should take a walk and don’t use so much the metro because ,,increased their bellies,,
President’s wife said also: ,,Why must build a station here? There is nobody person on the street!,, There was no one because the avenue was a crater during the construction the M2 line.
The architects knew that they must build a station at Roman Square. Above, at the surface, near the metro station there is a block. They told to president that they must consolidate the foundation of the block, because the block will not withstand to a possible earthquake. Behind the wall is a bigger platform, built in secret. They built the station in secret, saying that they strengths the foundation of the block. Obviously, the platforms didn’t show like a platforms, the president believed that the platforms are the foundation of the block. It passed 1 or 2 years when, the bucharesters made a lot of complaints to build a station at the Roman Square. The president approved to build it. Then, they built this small platform and broke the vaults to make the connection with the big platform after the wall.

LOL

Can't they break through the wall completely to create a big platform?

It is always possible, but now it's not urgent and the station remained so, and unfortunately nobody does anything to resolve the situation.
This is the approximate location of the station

I just remebered it had to be in Japan, probably Okinawa or Tama. For monorail it was easy, most of them are in Japan anyway. Then i checked my archiv compared with the internet sites and out of 15 stations only 4 have side platforms (the rest are island platforms) Omoromachi was just the guess
