Doesnt some other city in Mexico have a metro-bus system or something like that? I remember seeing pictures and it looked like it functioned as a metro except they used buses.

Those trains look pretty cool. The blue-and-orange one has a nice color combination.

MEXICO | Urban Transport Compilation

The Mexican Federation is campused of 32 Free and Sovereign States and 1 Federal District.

Wish totals 3 Metro systems, 2 Light Rail Systems, 1 Tram, and over 32 MetroBus systems.

I'm not sure if I can also include the Suburban and Nation Rail Network here.

Current Mexican Transportation Systems on Subways and Urban Transport SSC.

this thread needs to be moved or retitled; there is no such entity known as "MEXICAN FEDERATION."

The thread should probably be either titled either "Mexico" or "United Mexican States" (the official name of Mexico in English).

From what I understand, Mexico has limited inter-city rail and national service, almost as bad as the U.S.A. But it looks as if they may have High-Speed Rail before we in the U.S. do:

I remember reading that buses largely have supplanted rail for short and mid-distance transport in Mexico.

I like the Mexico City Metro though. The design fits in very well with the local architecture and color.

Any chance for a new Metro in Puebla? It would be the next logical city to get one.

Trough out history we have had many name such as United Kingdom of Mexico, Republic of Mexico, United States of Mexico current official name.

How ever under the constitution Mexican Federation and Mexican Union are also accepted.

We are a federation composed of several republics and kingdoms now known as Free and Sovereign States.

Current Trolleybus system and 1 tram upgraded light rail system.

Well originally there where tram, later upgraded to tolleytram, and now a rubber trolleybus.

Well it's hard to say.

The government is trying to end their service asap.

There are 3 phases for modernization

1. Modernize it into modern tram.

2. Light Rail Line

3. MetroBus - The idea is to upgrade all bus rotes into a MetroBus Network.
Meaning eliminating all bus transportation systems and leaving only tram, light rail, city metro system, cummuter train and the expanding MetroBus network.

* The MetroBus system is being implemented in all Mexico's cities over 500,000 in population.

An urban transport compilation is only necessary if the country does not have individual city threads.

You have a choice of keeping this thread and merging existing threads to this one, which is what I advise you to do, or delete this thread and keep individual city/regional threads.
