This is awesome a Germany company is going to help build the California High Speed Rail system awesome.

Another thing as well why isn't the Hell Gate Bridge Four Tracks it has space for another one since Freight Trains are increasing more and more.

But i am happy to see construction of the California High Speed Rail is continuing and growing strong, why are the NIMBY's are being so darn negative to High Speed Rail, don't they look at other nations and see the success it has?

also i like Fanrider's videos on youtube his videos are very high quality and they are awesome, yours as well Nexis you have very high quality videos as well.

They always do that when complaining about any government spending that doesn't involve screwing up the middle east

Thousands of trains pass safely over these curves each month
I'd run my train over those curves...

Looking at the map of New York City it's no wonder why my Amtrak train from Newark Airport Station to New Haven took forever...even stopping a couple times in between stations.

Ya it's a little crazy also any notice that they brought up amtrak's 2010 capital plan, which is pretty much a break in case of the republican party falling off the face of the earth kind of thing.

Or the Midwest, where 110 mph service for most of the route between Chicago and St Louis will be open this fall.

Will the travel time be under 4 h then? If so and with enough trains a large increase in passenger numbers could be expected. It's a mistake to assume that train has to be vastly faster than car/bus to compete. About the same time or a bit faster with reasonably priced tickets is usually enough.

Of course it still wouldn't be high speed train, but it also wouldn't cost 20 billions to build.

UNITED STATES | High Speed Rail

Some times I feel like Siemens fired its Design staff and they found work at pretty much every other rail manufacturer.
Like seriously this isn't horrible but pretty much after the original Velaro/ICE 3 design they've just lost some refinement

I'm not feeling this too much....the design seems dated even for American standards....those lights look awkward...

There are a few proposals for a Higher Speed line between Tuscon and Phoenix but I haven't heard anything in about a year...
