It was still a fairly important match because it decides who automatically qualifies to AFC 2015

SK played really nice football and now this means that already the 3 best teams(AUS, JPN, ROK) have qualified for the Asian Cup Australia 2015. These teams also are pretty close to Australia(in terms of travel times) and have a history of good 'away support' numbers.
Obviously the Socceroos games will be packed houses(I expect them to play all bar the opening game at ANZ Stadium (the Sydney Olympic Stadium..83,500 cap). Basing either Japan or Korea's group in Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium[55,000]) would likely see a large contingent of fans in that stadium.
I really feel as though hosting the tournament in Australia will do great things for the advancement of the sport in my country. Not in the way the World Cup would have, but potentially a huge boost none the less!

Yep. It'll have hotels for the 640,000 people who'll be needed to fill the stadiums.

This was the one game I could have seen live, and it was the final I'd have chosen to see, but I'll be in Stevenage so I'll miss this one too.

Interesting article about the final. Seems they have some unusual ticketing procedures in Qatar.
