Honduras or Trinidad should host next.

They don't want it, I know this to be a fact because they don't bid for it, in fact, nobody bids for it. Concacaf just rents American stadiums because they can make money with it.

A country like canada or mexico should host it alone..or another team in central america...it will give them a chance to improve their infrastructure ..i dont like it being hosted by the u.s everytime....not fair

It might help them improve their infrastructure, but they would hemorrhage money in the process. Imagine a country like Honduras trying to fill seats for a Canada-Jamaica group stage game. Putting on a tournament like the Gold Cup by is just too difficult a proposition these days. I could see joint hosting with the US, but none of these countries have expressed interest in doing so.

Chuck Blazer said they looked into playing part of the tournament in Canada but the visa complications of teams crossing the border created too many logistical problems. Not sure whether to believe it or not but that's what he said.

As an aside, Jack Warner is running unopposed for re-election as CONCACAF president. Yippee

No reason to move it outside the US... It's just fine that way... The only thing is to play it every 4 years instead of every 2.. That cheapens (even more) the tournament.

Well lets see...a tourney with Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia and etc and maybe even the USA invited. Or a tourney with such powerhouses as Granada, Guadeloupe, Panama and if we are really lucky St Kitts might makea showing, lol.. Even the worse team in South American will mop the floor with most CONCACAF teams.

I know which tourney I rather see live.

Remember last time the US and Canada played, the ending was in controversy. Think the US stole the win from an offside position
The Canadians are gona be out for revenge

In a unified Copa America we would not see teams like the ones you saw (Granada, Guadeloupe, Panama, St Kitts, etc)., because they would not pass the preliminary stages. The same ocurrs in UEFA, where Faroe Islands, Andorra, Iceland, etc. never get to the final stage of the Eurocup.

The difference between Conmebol teams and Concacaf teams is because in Concacaf we have 30 or more temas and conmebol only 10.- Costa Rica almost eliminated Uruguay pryor to the world cup.- The only 2 teams the are really in another planet are Brazil and Arg.

Amidst the boardroom gong show, the gold cup kicked off yesterday. Cowboys stadium was sold out. I suspect a few of them were cheering for that team in green.

Why not skip the whole charade and just have Mexico play the U.S? And just organise some impressive friendlies as a prelude? The game against Spain would've been more interesting had Bradley and Dempsey played from the start, the coach would've been afforded that luxury if he didn't have the mighty soca warriors, Belize and co humour for an entire tournament. The north and south need to merge, this thing isn't helping you guys at all.

Cowboys Stadium has what must be the worst field in the entire country, that was terrible.

Concacaf is better for us for political reasons, it's more powerful. You have to remember, Brazil has the same amount of votes as Saint Vincent.
