I agree, Wellington has an awesome setting and has more soul. Auckland is a city of little villages that have all developed into unique destinations over the past 5 years. The waterfront is doubling in size and will be completed in time for the RWC 2011 - it looks promising. You will have much more to experience next time around and I think that you will be quite surprised by all the changes.
