Lopues knows very well how to take the challenge, by putting up new branches on an area that the giants were presently hesitant to penetrate and upgrading it's existing ones so as not to be left behind.

Lopue's still proves to them all that they are still the province's "largest retail store chain"

one local player also making good on their branches all over the province is AMAR .... Amar Store, Amar Emporium and Amar Empire

Play Studio, Bacolod’s first and premiere photography studio for kids and families, opened its second branch at the East Bridgeway of SM City Bacolod last November 11, 2011. For owners Margot Lopez, Gretchen Varela, Katrina Varela, Bianca Limjap and Gia Garcia-Dupont, it was a special day filled with thanksgiving as they opened a second store in Bacolod City after establishing Play Studio 5 years ago.

The grand opening ceremonies began with a prayer and thanksgiving, followed by the ribbon cutting by Councilor Carlo Lopez. SM Mall Manager George Jardiolin, Assistant Mall Manager Julia Javellana and Tenant Relations Officer Nicelle Vistar attended the opening as well as guests Celing Lopez, Melinda Garcia, Ed and Nora Varela, Jas Valderama and Tisoy and Pop Henares.

Play Studio first opened in Lopue’s Mandalagan Annex Building back in 2006. In 2008, they transferred to their current location in Robinsons Place Bacolod (2nd level, West Wing). The owners established Play Studio to offer families a unique service of having their portraits taken in an environment where they can be comfortable and be themselves. Play Studio specializes on child and baby photography, as well as portraits for the whole family. Portraits are printed on high quality photo paper that can last years. They also offer portraits on photo canvass, and photos can be printed in various products such as mugs, mousepads, keychains, bags, and many more.

Play Studio is located at the East Bridgeway of SM City Bacolod and the the 2nd level, West Wing of Robinsons Place Bacolod. Telephone numbers are 456-2623 and 441-1696 respectively.

Vladi Gonzales Bares Plan to Convert Crossing Alijis as Growth Area

Businessman Vladi Gonzales and Samson Yap with their spouses cut the ceremonial ribbon during the soft opening of Total Fuel Station at Crossing Alijis last Saturday February 18

What used to be a sprawling area of grassland will soon be completed as another growth area known to every Bacolodnon as “Crossing Alijis.”

This was disclosed over the weekend by land developer and businessman Vladimir Gonzales in an interview with Negros Daily Bulletin after the soft launching of Total Fuel Station which he owned.

Gonzales’ Total Fuel Station is right the tip of the Circumferential Road “Bangga Cory” which crosses the Alijis Highway where schools, businesses, churches and housing subdivisions were developed up to the old airport areas.

The locality and vicinity of Barangay Alijis is seeing countless entities that developed along Alijis Highway among them are the Olympia Village, Bacolod Memorial Park, Bongbong’s Pasalubong Center, Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, Alijis Campus, John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, other smaller schools, Pau d’Arco, motors, vulcanizing, funeral parlor and churches of various denominations.

Gonzales’ Total Fuel Station stands at the center itself of Barangay Alijis’ big housing subdivisions like the Regent Pearl Subdivision, Celita Village, Acco Housing and the Panaad Sports Stadium; the fuel station is about four kilometers from the Bacolod Government Center and businesses that could develop along the circumferential road which is very accessible to Crossing Alijis.

Thus, the sprawling development Crossing Alijis, he added, where a Total Fuel Station will help spur, is ripe for consumer-based businesses like a wet market, drugstores, groceries, restaurants and other social service businesses that will serve the middle-end buying population and eventually decongest the downtown area.

Right after its inauguration, Gonzales met with a transport group servicing the Handumanan route and subject to compliance with pertinent ordinances, it will formally sign contract with the former for the building of their terminal right beside the fuel station; there are other tricycle and transport group that could follow suit.

Gonzales stressed that the establishment of the Total Fuel Station in Crossing Alijis is not an overnight decision he had conceived, but a product of a long study called by experts as “location economics,” some aspects of which is the development of real properties, community planning and preparation for commercial growth centers.

Amo na ya Vladi! Transform Alijis into a boomtown and not just a backwater cogonan it once was. With this development projects he is planning there, may chansa nga ma resurrect ang atun nga Food Terminal. Basi mabutang man siya condos da?
