CRAB MEAT FROM E.B.MAGALONA

Due to profusion of crabs harvested every day in the coastal lines of EB Magalona, several businessmen here have invested into operating crab picking plants. At the plant, crab meats are segregated for canning and export business. At present, there are about five crab picking plants in town --- 2 at Barangay 3-Poblacion and 1 each at Barangays Tabigue, Manta-angan and Tomongtong.

crab meat exporter man kita gali.

DOUBLE TIRES FROM E.B. MAGALONA

Is simply a family business of the Celestes in Barangay Alicante. From a mere experience being lateros in Cebu, the three Celeste brothers went home and founded their foundry business. After years, however, they separated their ways and individually manage their respective business, and only Morito Celeste was left at Barangay Alicante with his MCeleste Foundry Shop. Want to know the pricing? Better dial 0929863838 or 09084406954 and look for Tess or Morito.

1st NegOc IT Park to rise in EB Magalona 15,000 jobs in the offing

If plan pushes through, the very first Information and Technology Park in the province of Negros Occidental will rise in E.B. Magalona, if not this year, maybe next year.

This, disclosed Andrew Regalado, a businessman and one of the incorporators for this venture, will sprawl in a 142 hectares estate of the Maravilla clan at Hacienda Carmelo, Barangay Sto. NiÑo.

Of the 142 hectares land area proposed to be converted into an economic zone, said Regalado, half of it will be devoted to the proposed solar plant by a Korean firm while the remaining half will be for an IT Park to be called Tanza Techno Park.

He said, “This is the second ecozone to rise in Neg.Occ. next to Sagay City, but the proposed IT park will be the first in the province.”

“I think this is now a go go project considering that the land owners – Rebecca and Herminio Maravilla are also interested to offer their estate to this business venture,” he said.

“The only thing that the Municipal Government of EB Magalona will do is to let its Sangguniang Bayan to pass a resolution converting the Maravilla estate from agricultural to industrial zone,” Regalado added.

“No problem, we’re willing,” answered Mayor David Albert Lacson.

As soon as a resolution for land conversion will be passed, Regalado said they will process everything — from DENR permit, among other government registrations.

Regalado, however, is assured that said resolution is now forthcoming after hearing the commitment of Mayor Lacson and the members of the town’s council last week.

15,000 JOBS

If they’re will be no more hitches, Regalado said they will initially start the development within the 25 hectares land area with an initial input of P250 million.

“Then everything will be done in a gradual basis,” he further said, adding, “With this business venture, around 15,000 jobs will be generated in a span of 5 years of operations.”

He added that one of the main reasons why they want to locate in EB Magalona because of the proximity of the place to the Silay-Bacolod Airport, and “the roads leading to the proposed IT park are already paved.”

Regalado also said that graduates of Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) in Talisay have also a very good chance landing jobs in this IT park considering of their skills after graduation.

“That’s why we’re targeting about 6,000 graduates of TUP in the next five years,” he also disclosed.

I know personally that there has been move to ethanol using sugarcane even before AFTA came into the picture.

Good because it's expanding! This was my favorite hospital here in Bacolod City. The food is great because all of the meals are vegetarian. I like the way the hospital treat their patients. Not only they treat physically but also spiritually, they would visit every room just to pray over the patients.

It's my "Family Hospital" aside from being accessible, affordable much more comfortable, not just physically but as well as spiritually. I frequented here just to have a lunch coz i find their foods healthier and yummier, pero kung indi ka conscious indi mo gid magustuhancoz it's gluten base kag las-ay compare sa typical foods we find anywhere. That's true.

DOJ dismisses Monico’s appeal ON LEGALITY OF NEW REVENUE CODE
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Department of Justice has dismissed the appeal filed by former Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella questioning the legality of the New Revenue Code of Bacolod City, saying that it was not perfected.

The appeal filed by Rolling Hills Memorial Park Inc. represented by Puentevella, asked that City Ordinance 565, Series of 2011, or an “Ordinance approving the Revised Local Revenue Code of Bacolod,” be declared illegal and of no force and legal effect on January 26, 2012.

Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, in her letter to Puentevella dated Jan. 27, said that before the Department can act on the appeal, it should show that the procedure governing appeals is complied with pursuant to Department Circular 21 dated July 15, 1992, specifically Sections 3 and 4. Otherwise, the appeal is not perfected.

She said since Sections 3 and 4 were not properly complied with, the appeal was not perfected so the Department has no other option but to dismiss it.
