They should put aquaria / planetarium / or something like that inside PTS...not just coffee shops and typical restaurants all the way round the clock...

Aquaria like KLCC? Wah... fantastic idea, but is it practical? most of the lot inside PTS is individual owner. Who want to invest like that?

And planetarium or something like Petrosains in KLCC, I love it too but I don't think PTS has the space in Phase 1.

Anyway, Penangites will be happy and lucky to have one!

Sorry I do not have insider information of the new tenants coming to PTS though I am equally concern.

I remember in this forum, there was an argument on the occupancy rate, some people said if based on area calculation, PTS occupancy rate is well above 80%, but I really have no idea, what I can see is PTS G, 1st, 2nd and 3rd of PTS is still very empty, except 4th floor, whereby the whole floor taken by Sunshine City.

It is mid september now. If there is any new outlet coming in, it has to be opened by latest end of november in order to catch up the christmas and new year business. Renovation will take one month or sometime even two. Now, what do we see at the so called food mall concept? I notice the poor J&C moved to the front area where rental must be higher. I can see more shops closed. But I don't see any progress of the food mall. Maybe ivory pan tang about working during hungry ghost period, but now it is over. Still no progress. Remember the big boss said in some newspaper there will be at least 50 outlets opened by november? Someone better print an enlarged version of that article and stick it in front of pts. Ivory still no change after listed: still talk talk talk, but never show results!

Thanks for the info.
PTS is very hard to survive and...they open 3 years ago.
Now still empty..
The management are all a bunch of kids who dun know how to operate a mall.
They only good collect maintenance fees.
A lot of OWNERS, BE RESIDENTIAL OR COMMERCIAL ARE REALLY ANGRY AND UPSET.
Tak tau kerja, jalan bikin mall...

Phase 2 will be the same fate like pTS 1.
Next time when I see the CEO and all the directors, I will "PUI" sama them.

i agree. they should appoint a new management consultancy to take over those own impotent management team. 3 years with tons of problem proven they already failed

I totally agree with you...3 years still the same...it's a failure.
This CEO and directors know how to sit inside their a/c room and know NOTHING about mall...just a bunch of spoilt kids.
PTS become a white elephant in Georgetown...and even Sunshine city is anchor tenant also cannot bring crowds...what a shame.

I heard that the developer has purchased and proposed to develope composite development nearby Tanjung Tokong's Island Plaza? It comprises commercial lots and shopping mall.

Someone please tell me it is not true. I am afraid it may turns to Penas Group during 90's, which turned 1-Stop, BJ Complex, Megamall, Prangin Mall, etc to lousy malls...
