Seriously?

San Diego does not even have a single building above 500 feet because of the airport nearby. Denver has at least seven buildings in it's downtown (with another one on the way once Two Tabor Center is completed) that surpass that height.

Truth is that setting up a poll on VBulletin with more than 10 or 15 options can be a real pain given the rude 5 min. allowance before it posts. Several other cities would be fun to discuss ( including Albuquerque and Tuscon ) but just have relatively weak skylines.

Whudduyagonnado?
yeah true... but i doubt no one would really vote for LB, reno as the 'best western skyline'... the title doesnt really say 'top 10 W. skylines'.. although i still gave my list

If Reno is on the list, so should Century City. It has a better skyline than a majority of large cities. Hell it has a better skyline than San Jose.

Century City has more height than San Jose but all that looks like it sprouted up at the same time, between 1970 and 1980 or so.

The Century is the newest building in Century City and it opened last year.

2000 Ave of the Stars is also pretty new. It's quite big and frames the Century Plaza Towers well.

There is also this office tower called Century City Center that's proposed. What's cool about this tower is that it'll include a portal for the future Century City Purple Line station.

One of the things that I love about Century City is the quality of the architecture. I mean even though it consists of nothing but boxy office towers, they are all very well put together and have aged gracefully. One thing I don't like about Century City is that it is a ghost town at night. Despite it being a few blocks away from Beverly Hills, it doesn't have a very urban feel. Also that almost all of the buildings have MASSIVE plazas and the streets are very very wide creating a very open and vast feel.

You can see Beverly Hills High (the track) and Beverly Hills on the upper right.

The reason Sacramento sucks is because it isn't home to any major industry or corporation. San Jose has the tech companies. San Francisco has the banks. Hell, San Francisco eclipsed Sacramento way back in the 1850s. The only thing Sacramento had was the railways, which all died.

If by similar you mean having 2 of almost every building then yes I agree.
