Everyone knows drinking Starbucks coffee is like drinking s*** in water. Have some standards... please

Edit: If you're American, I understand. Please visit Melbourne and we'll show you what a real latte is.

New flying mode at Pudong airport cuts delays, wait time
Shanghai Daily Excerpt
February 6, 2015

AIRCRAFT are being allowed to land or take off simultaneously on two runways at Pudong International Airport from yesterday, cutting down on the long waiting time and flight delays.

It can increase the number of takeoffs and landings per hour to 85 from the current 65, said Lu Wen, an air traffic controller at the airport.

Previously, an aircraft had to keep a distance of at least 2 kilometers from the plane ahead of it on the two parallel runways. Under the new mode, the aircraft can take off or land “shoulder to shoulder.”

The new mode will also mean shorter circling time in the air before landing, the air traffic controller of the East China Regional Administration under the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced yesterday.

Two passenger aircraft landed at the No. 2 and No. 3 runways at the Pudong airport yesterday morning.

Enhanced radar system will guide the pilots, who will separately receive training for the new flying mode. The air traffic controllers also need to stay calm and show strong mental character and judgement, said Chen Wei, another controller.

Fees for airport parking set to soar
Shanghai Daily Excerpt
February 11, 2015

PEOPLE who park their cars overnight at Shanghai’s two airports will be charged more from tomorrow.

The city’s airport authority said yesterday that it was raising prices at Hongqiao and Pudong to cut down on the number of vehicles occupying limited spaces at the airports’ terminal buildings.

Drivers will be charged 60 yuan (US$9.62) for the first day, 80 yuan for the second day and 110 yuan per day after that, the authority said.

Currently, drivers pay 50 yuan per day. The increase means a near doubling of the cost for a week’s parking at either airport — from 350 yuan to 690 yuan.

“The P1 and P2 parking buildings, with only 4,500 parking lots at the Pudong airport’s terminal buildings, have been overcrowded with vehicles parking for several days occupying 73 percent of the parking spaces,” Yuan Shunzhou, the Pudong airport’s general manager, told reporters.

Great airport, far from the city but linked effectively due to the maglev line.

I remember there used to be another blue print for PVG which was better than the recent one. T2 was supposed to be much larger than T1 and there were two another smaller terminals on the east of them.

Do we have any updates as to the status of the proposed satellite terminal shown in the rendering?
