First time to yet another stunning photo album thread of yours! Question: how close is Mount Maunganui from Central Auckland? Perhaps that could become my backyard if I choose not to live in Auckland's suburbs... The third picture of a golden-colored house (with all the interesting geometric windows) is something I would rather buy as a home than a cookie-cutter house in an American suburb. I just find it beautiful and stunning that I don't know how much I'll thank you for sharing such superb photos! Perhaps I'll live in Mount Royale if that golden colored home isn't for sale... Perhaps I'll just enjoy my retirement of that gorgeous beachside town!

You're simply a phenomenal photographer, mate! Excellent!

Aaaaah thanks I am afraid that my latest batch of pics (Hobbiton and Rotorua) aren't the greatest, for 3 days I had been taking pics at the wrong iso and luckily discovered the problem once I arrived in The Mount - thank heavens for that The Mount is a 2 hour drive from Auckland but there are also flights available - the car journey is much nicer though with fantastic scenery. House prices are also very high and average around a million Dollars so you will have to have quite a bit saved for your retirement. Needless to say that it will be my home one day, every time I visit The Mount I don't want to leave. The beach is fantastic, the people are healthy, ultra friendly, it's peaceful and the life style is second to none I shall keep on dreaming Thanks for the comment.

Those beach pics on the Mount look really spectacular and lively, with swimmers, surfers, and walkers alike. Perhaps that's a reason why you want to live soon on the Mount: I'll make a little confession that I would like to live somewhere close to the Mount too because from your pics, it looks really serene and peaceful, and it being two hours away from Auckland by car, I would really like to visit it as often as I want. Hopefully though, buses also ply the Mount to Auckland route... Very impressive pics yet again!

There are buses that run between the two cities. It is best to live in The Mount and then go to Auckland for the weekend and party/shop. You have good taste and if a serene life style is your number one priority then you can't go wrong with The Mount
