Those are the same new buses that entered service last year in Cairo. I never knew they are Egyptian made So we're making more of those buses this year for Kinshasa and Cairo BTW isn't 300 a tad too little? We have a video showing the buses from Inside I'll post it once I find it

There are more busses that will come from Ukraine or Belarus. BTW Kinshasa is not so big in size compared to Cairo, it only has a large population. 1000 busses will be enough. :lol |

![]() If the costs are based on cold facts, then it is very hard to argue against establishing a BRT system is Kinshasa. A relatively cheap solution to an expensive problem. I wonder if included in the costs are the cost of rebuilding most of the road network? The current road network is not anywhere near up to scratch for public transportation, if the costs are included in the $1B price, excuse my ignorance but I can't see anywhere that confirms it

Woow Kinshasa traffic seems to be even worse than Luanda. Hope with this project things get better. But I would like to see "real"metro projects going on for African cities.

Regarding "METRO" projects ; I woild love to see Metros as well. But we cannot afford them right now. we have so many priorities we need as a priority. METRO is not a priority , IMO. I would like to see Light Rail and BRT projects instead. They are fast, easier and waaaay cheaper to built and maintain. But cities like Luanda, Lagos, Accra can afford Metro projects because they have so much Oil flowing. Oil is free money. |
