Actually I have seen the seating formations and plans with a guy working there, pretty good. Identical to the ones used in Jabir Stadium in Kuwait, they save time and effort by using Khurafi stuff. Btw, no plans for the painting ....yet

Btw, I hope they use something similar to Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium coloring pattern for the seats. See these:

I think they should make them like the Old Trafford seats which look so much more professional

Football Quest

Iraq National Selection from 1985 (?) or 1986 (?)

Front row, middle: Rahim Aufi
All other players: unknown

Can anyone tell me more about the players in this picture? When was the photo taken? Does anyone recognize the stadium?

I think you should go to this website: www.kooora.com, if you know Arabic then browse down to KOOORA IRAQIYA there you can ask your question, they are all experts in Iraqi football history.

I will; thanks for this sound advice. However, I'd still appreciate anticipating any non-Arabic response here since it would make life easier for the original petitioner in question.

Barcelona FC to Set Up Football Academy in Iraq

Posted on 04 November 2011

Spain’s Barcelona Football Club has agreed to set up a football academy in Iraq, Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports said on Friday.

Jasem Mohammed Jaafar told AKnews the academy will be run by Spanish experts and will train gifted Iraqi players as well as coaches and referees.

The agreement came after the Minister met with the FC Barcelona President, Sandro Rosell, who signed the deal for setting up a number of sports projects, including the football academy as well as a joint project with the Ministry to help in restoring peace to the war torn Iraq.

Zakho does actually have a nice team. It's better to build a new one than the old shit.. Using the money to other more useful projects could be better though.
