By the way, as a note of interest Jan, whose site we enjoy here daily, is the Communications Manager of the Council on Tall Buildings!

CTBUH includes telecommunication towers, Berliner Fernsehturm in this case. I will add Bonn.

Well, you shouldn't include TV towers, almost every larger german city has one although none of them has any skyscrapers...

Do you honestly expect me to research the 300+ cities listed on CTBUH to determine which buildings are tv towers and which ones aren't? There are about 4000 buildings listed on that site. It would take me about 4 months... if I'm lucky. I don't have the time or the inclination. Maybe you should give it a go.

You can exclude TV towers:

I see, but I'm not going to re-do that whole thing over. Feel free to submit a list though.

I agree with Shtoopid; where did they get a figure of 7.6 million people for San Francisco? It is more like 4.3 million tops.

7.4M in CSA according to wiki. I'm pretty sure the same generous standards were applied to most other cities in the US. I used Toronto's golden horseshoe as an equivalent, but otherwise there's no equivalent numbers for Canadian cities.

They didn't lump the Sacramento metro area in, did they (because of the I-80 corridor)? That's the only way I see them getting the additional 3 million needed for 7 million.
