I like the shape-- I think you should add a bit more articulation in the cladding (more contrast between the glass and the window frames/mullions). Also, are there elevator cores?
As for the podium, add lots more detail. Entrances, retail shops, different materials that make it friendly and visually interesting for pedestrians. Also, I think that bright blue is an unflattering colour... very 1980s or something. Try a more clear glass with a slight green tint, or a grey glass, etc... or even still blue, but just much more transparent. You're on the right track though

Forthcoming BNA (Bank of New Atlantis) Tower
![]() Also, what to expect my next housing "colony" to look like: ![]() It's heavily inspired by Teeple Architects here in Toronto... my design is going to be my own version of a couple of theirs, so yes, it's heavily copied, if you will. It will be my first type doing this style of building so I need something to guide me, so I chose their designs to do that for me. There will be much less glass coverage than my past designs, which I think is important to note from an energy conservation and efficiency point of view. Two appartment towers, each reaching 98 meters and containing 27 floors. The top two floors will have three penthouse appartments each. THey share the same podium and it will feature public services

LOL no!!! I honestly never saw that one by you. Hahaha. You'll be happy to know that the back of this building has a facade with square windows, instead of the vertical strips I've used on this facade.
I think we can agree that some of your designs have been more than just a little similar to mine too

The Mondrian Colony (in progress)
I think the colour scheme makes it self-explanatory...

Glad to see someone else in here (not Mike or I) doing residential highrises now. Good work
.The only thing I'm really not sold on is the cladding. I think eventually you should come up with something different. Maybe precast concrete panels? And a different type of concrete for the balcony slabs. Anyway, good work!

Those look great, Mike. May I suggest adding some smokestacks/chimney pipes on top, white with orange stripes for some, and other that look like they've been replaced with dark grey or silver ones over time?
![]() Also would look cool if you replaced a few bricks here and there (not many) with a slightly darker brick, to show where damage was repaired over the years. ![]() Looks great though! |
